Go, Ross, Go!
The newly retired David Ross isn’t just staying at home after topping off an excellent career with a World Series win with the Chicago Cubs. He’s going dancing.
Ross will be part of the next season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. The best part is that he’s going to start with what he knows. Ross and his dance partner Lindsay Arnold will dance to “Go Cubs Go.”
While the song is mostly used to rally Cubs fans during games, seeing Ross sway to the familiar tune will probably have a few diehards reminiscing about their Game 7 victory over Cleveland.
He told US Weekly he’s going to give it his all:
Ever since he retired, he’s made a few public appearances. Most recently, Ross and the Cubs visited the White House to celebrate their world championship with President Barack Obama. While he was there, he videobombed David Rizzo while he took a selfie.
Ross will compete against stars like Nancy Kerrigan, Mr. T, Rashad Jennings, and Simone Biles.
