Buster Posey take note. A 7-year-old girl has developed a new catching technique that is probably going to take the baseball world by storm.
Why? Because it doesn’t actually involve any catching. So, you know, it’s a lot easier.
The video comes to us from a digital artist named Adam Papa, who goes by @adamsmoot on Twitter, and the little girl in question is his niece. We don’t know where she’s from. But we do know she plays catcher for her coach-pitch softball team, and that, instead of making any attempt whatsoever to actually catch the ball, she just curls up into a ball like an armadillo and just lets the pitch hit her. Then the umpire has to pick the ball up and throw it back to the pitcher.
Basically this kid’s got life all figured out. Take a look:
Honestly can't stop laughing at how my 7-year-old niece plays catcher like an armadillo avoiding a predator ???? pic.twitter.com/JBHrr6KbFz

My favorite part of this story, besides the awesome kid I mean? This exchange between the original poster and his mom, who obviously created a Twitter account just to see the video go viral:
Seriously, though, adorable video.
