Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson headline a full night of fights alongside a highly anticipated bout between Chris Weidman and Gegard Mousasi at UFC 210 on Saturday.
Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson will meet in the main event of UFC 210 with the promotion’s light heavyweight title on the line. On top of that, the packed card will also include a co-main event featuring former middleweight champion Chris Weidman up against the always-tough Gegard Mousasi.
The night of fights gets underway at 6:15 p.m. ET with the UFC Fight Pass stream, continues with the free televised portion of the preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 at 8 p.m., and finally the pay-per-view main card will get underway at 10 p.m.
Online streams of the pay-per-view portion will be available via the UFC YouTube channel and UFC apps on various connected smart devices. There are plenty of ways to watch what is looking like a packed card.
The first time Johnson and Cormier fought, the former couldn’t work his striking game when the latter stifled his offense with his wrestling. Eventually, Cormier worked a rear-naked choke for the victory. The two were expected to rematch at UFC 206, but Cormier had to pull out of the fight.
Getting back to this point has certainly been eventful for both fighters. Cormier took a narrow, disputed split decision win over Alexander Gustafsson and then dominated an old and undersized Anderson Silva to make it three wins in a row, counting Johnson.
Johnson, on the other hand, knocked out Jimi Manuwa in the second round and both Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira in the first round.
Weidman has lost his last two fights, including his title loss to Luke Rockhold. Most recently, he lost to Yoel Romero and has dropped both fights by knockout. Both losses are his only career ones, coming on the heels of beating Silva, Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort.
Mousasi, on the other hand, is doing great. He won a decision over Thales Leites in February 2016 then proceeded to score knockout wins over Thiago Santos, Belfort and Uriah Hall. The win over Hall is significant, given it was Hall who beat him last, back in 2015.
The main card also includes a women’s strawweight matchup between Cynthia Calvillo and Pearl Gonzalez, a welterweight fight between Thiago Alves and Patrick Cote and a lightweight bout between Charles Oliveira and Will Brooks.
