Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee will fight for the interim UFC Lightweight Championship with Conor McGregor’s future unclear at UFC 216: Ferguson vs. Lee on Saturday. The card will also feature a UFC Flyweight Championship bout between Demetrious Johnson and Ray Borg.

Saturday’s card begins at 6 p.m. ET with the UFC Fight Pass preliminary bouts. The card will continue at 8 p.m. on FX in the United States, with live streaming via Fox Sports GO, the UFC YouTube and other outlets. Finally, the pay-per-view main card will begin at 10 p.m., and can be purchased via your broadcast provider or purchased online from the UFC directly.

Interestingly, Ferguson and Lee have both discussed potential opponents after this bout, and neither expect Conor McGregor is the next guy they’ll face. Both are confident in winning the interim belt, but it almost seems as though everyone involved is pessimistic about McGregor fighting again, whether at lightweight or in mixed martial arts at all.

Only time will tell if McGregor finds his way back to the promotion after his megafight with Floyd Mayweather. For now, the UFC is putting on an exciting, packed card featuring two titles on the line for UFC 216.

Ferguson has won his last nine fights in the UFC, last losing to Michael Johnson in 2012. His winning streak includes matches against Gleison Tibau, Edson Barboza and, most recently, Rafael dos Anjos. Ferguson is the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 13 Welterweight tournament, and has been excellent since joining the UFC.

Lee’s history isn’t as strong as Ferguson’s, but he has won his last five matches, the last four of which were stoppages.

Johnson and Borg have had their bout canceled in the past due to the health issues. “Mighty Mouse” has been waiting to make his 11th title defense for some time now. If successful against Borg, Johnson will have the record for consecutive title defenses in the UFC.

Johnson hasn’t lost since 2011, when he faced the much bigger Dominick Cruz in the bantamweight division. He also had a draw against Ian McCall after that, but has won every fight since, including bouts against Joseph Benavidez, John Dodson and, most recently, Wilson Reis.
