Darren Sproles is set for surgery on a broken arm today and will await surgery on his knee following one harrowing play that left the NFL veteran with a broken arm and a torn ACL.

The play came in the first half of the Eagles-Giants game. After being hit on a play, trainers were called out to assist the running back. And while he was able to walk off under his own power, he was seen holding his injured right arm.

Giants safety Darian Thompson’s foot struck Sproles in the arm, breaking it. The hit also caused his knee to buckle under him.

Here’s the play, if you’re inclined to see the damage done.

Ouch. Here’s to hoping for a speedy recovery.
