It’s obvious Kareem Hunt has been the breakout star for the Kansas City Chiefs this year. Ever since his surprise performance against the Patriots in Week 1, the third-round pick from Toledo has played completely out of his mind.
In his first three NFL games, Hunt has racked up 538 yards from scrimmage. According to Pro-Football Reference, no one has even come within even 100 yards of that through three games since Billy Sims’ impressive start in 1980, when he accumulated 562 yards from scrimmage.
He’s also the first player to have a 50-plus yard touchdown in each of his first three games. Like this one today against the Chargers.
If he keeps this up, Hunt could be on pace for one of the great rookie campaigns in NFL history.
