There was some talk that the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft could feature a mid-00s kind of run on running backs. It didn’t pan out that way, but any team in the market for runners will be anxiously awaiting the second round. Dalvin Cook is still available. Joe Mixon, who comes with some serious off-field concerns, is there too.

Anyone in the market for an offensive lineman will find some of the draft’s best prospects to be had on day two. Forrest Lamp, a Western Kentucky product who dominated Alabama’s pass rushers last season, is still out there too.

And don’t forget about the quarterbacks. DeShone Kizer and Davis Webb don’t rank as blue chip prospects, but they’re talented enough for a team to take a flyer on them in the second round.

Budda Baker is out there for some team looking for safety help. A lot of experts felt like he could have been a day one pick. Most amazing of all might be the fact that Malik McDowell can be had. McDowell was sort of miscast with the Spartans, who had him playing out of position. Retired NFL defensive end sees a guy who can really wreck shop in the pros.
