The pressure is all on Real Madrid right now as they prepare to travel to face Granada, with the La Liga title race looking like it’s going to the wire. They’re even with points on arch-rivals Barcelona atop the table, with the Blaugranes holding tiebreaker advantages over them. That means there’s little room for error for Real Madrid right now, and they can ill-afford to slip up, even against a team being relegated like Granada.

Real Madrid do have one advantage left in the form of a game in hand, but if they lose any match for the rest of the season, they’ll effectively be handing the title to Barcelona. Even with Granada already relegated, points lost in this match still hurt a lot, meaning we shouldn’t expect to see Zinedine Zidane pull any punches with his lineup or tactics in this match.

Granada will be without the injured Matthieu Saunier and the suspended Ezequiel Ponce, while each of Artem Kravets, Hector, and Franck Tabanou are in doubt with various injuries. That’s a fair amount of their starting and rotation depth either out or at less than full fitness in both attack and defense, which will be tough for Granada in a match like this. Real Madrid might be getting Pepe back at long last from his rib fractures, but Dani Carvajal will be joining Gareth Bale on the absentee list after picking up a hamstring injury in the Champions League.
