The weekend went terribly for Real Madrid after they lost to Barcelona, throwing the title race in La Liga wide open again. They need to win every match from here out to guarantee that they win the title they so desperately want, and that needs to start on Wednesday with a trip to face Deportivo La Coruña.

Madrid’s confidence isn’t in a great place after how brutal that match with Barcelona was on Sunday, but they have to bounce back fast. At least they have a match against a struggling team like Deportivo — who have won just once in the last month — as they try to work out a little frustration and aggression, because a tougher matchup might be a trickier story right now. That doesn’t change the importance of this match, though, because if Real Madrid slip up, they could be handing the title to Barcelona.

Real Madrid have a trio of painful injuries to deal with, as Gareth Bale, Raphael Varane, and Pepe are out. The defensive injuries are getting tough to deal with, with Nacho struggling a bit to fill the void and Sergio Ramos looking like he needs a break. Deportivo La Coruña have just one injury right now, with midfielder Pedro Mosquera out for the season. But they do get back the recently suspended trio of Guilherme, Alejandro Arribas, and Carles Gil, which will be a big relief for the struggling team.
